North Lakes Family Photoshoot

A beautiful Winter’s afternoon in North Lakes with this beautiful little family. I can’t believe little Denver is already 6 months old!? It feels like I only did his Newborn photos just yesterday.

These photos were to celebrate the fact that we will be offering a client wardrobe for our lovely client’s in the next few months. This will provide additional help with outfit styling and the option not to spend extra money on something to wear just for your Photoshoot. All outfits in these photos are available excluding Dad’s.

Crystal + Matt Sunshine Coast Forest Engagement Photoshoot

Crystal and Matt travelled Europe for 2 months late last year and during that trip was when Matt decided to pop the question! A beautiful proposal whilst they were exploring Santorini.

This pair are so beautifully connected and cherish each other dearly. I know they will have an amazing life together. Here’s what they had to say about their photoshoot:

“My Partner and I had a wonderful afternoon on our Engagement Shoot in the Pine Forest! Belinda is so lovely and made the experience super easy for us both. We were a bit nervous going into the shoot but Belinda made us feel comfortable. The photos turned out amazing and we are so happy that she captured the love and energy we have for one another! Will definitely be asking her to capture our wedding 😊

Thank you again Belinda ❤️”

Natalie & Ryan - Victoria Park Wedding Photography

Congratulations to Natalie and Ryan who tied the knot at Victoria Park Golf Club last month!

They chose our vibrant style of editing for their wedding images and loved seeing them for the first time at their album appointment. We can’t wait for you to have your beautiful printed album full of these precious memories.

CLAIRE + WIKI - Maleny Retreat Elopement

From the Bride and Groom…

Wiki and I, have so many family and friends it was a hard task alone excluding anyone from the guest list. We both have a lot of family abroad. We could only imagine what an extensive expense it would have cost for them to get here.

Our decision to Elope simply came down to doing it for ourselves. We wanted something easy, relaxed and low key. And that’s exactly what we got. The day couldn’t have been any more perfect and we couldn’t be  happier!

Tips and advice:

Our only advice would be to do your research. Know what you want and find the right people to do it.
Above all, there’s no real right or wrong way to plan an Elopement/ Wedding. Just remember do it for yourselves. You just need to make sure both parties are happy. One thing Wiki and I learnt along the way, was compromise is one thing, but sacrifice speaks volumes. Giving up something you want rather than need, gave us both a greater sense of appreciation, value and respect for one another.

Thanks and special mentions:

We were fortunate enough to be surrounded by unbelievably talented and passionate people to make our day possible. From the lovely Bridal Bouquet and Headpiece by Natalie from Heavenly Blooms. The beautiful dress by Rue De Seine. The amazing backdrop of The Glass House Mountains at Maleny Retreat was absolutely breathtaking and Joy thank you so much for all of your help on the day. Makeup by Azmina thank you for making my face look snatched haha. Our lovely celebrant Deanne Taylor. Jaden at Sunshine Coast Videography we cannot wait for the Cinematic experience.

Last but not least. Belinda, we cannot thank you enough! The photos are absolutely breathtaking. It is everything and more than what we envisioned. Thank you for making our day so easy, and not feeling silly in front of a camera haha. You are amazingly talented. Thank you for capturing our “Happy ever after”.

Mikarla & Andrew - Samford Country Wedding

Mikarla and Andrew’s Wedding was held at the Samford Showgrounds back in May. They have recently returned from their 6 week holiday in Mexico and California - talk about an amazing honeymoon!

Last night they came in for their album design appointment! We were so excited to show them through the memories of their wedding day which seem like a blur at the time. They were extremely happy with their photographs and can’t wait to receive their beautifully crafted Wedding Album in just a few weeks time!

That’s enough chit, chat… let’s get to the photos!

Taneka + Brad - Private Property Country Wedding

Taneka and Brad held their Wedding on Private Property at Bellmere which belongs to Taneka’s Grandparents.

Their day perfectly reflected them as couple, it was very relaxed, full of love and laughter. (oh and some tears too!)

We had a few questions for the Bride…

What was your favourite moment of the day?

My favourite moment would definitely be exchanging our own vows! Hearing what Brad had written himself definitely tugged on the heart strings because we never express our love for each other that way. So, to hear how he felt out loud in front of all our friends and family was really something special!”

What is your advice for future Bride’s planning their Wedding?

Not to stress and not have too high an expectation. Enjoy every little second of the planning, setting up, the day itself and everything after because it’s gone before you know it! So enjoy absolutely every aspect of the whole experience.”

What are you tips for a stress-free Wedding Day?

“Just take it as it comes and embrace the whole day! If it doesn’t go to plan don’t stress about it. At the end of the day it won’t matter if people sat at the wrong table or the centrepieces weren’t positioned right, it’s all about celebrating and enjoying with everyone who means most to you.”

Your experience working with Sunset Lane Photography?

“You guys.... what else can I say except PERFECTION!! I wouldn’t of had it any other way! You guys were so much fun so down to earth and the end results were too perfect for words. You were definitely born to do what you do and wouldn’t recommend anyone but yourself for absolutely everyone!!!”

Meliah & David - Glengariff Historic Estate Wedding Photography

May 16th 2019, the day that Meliah and David celebrated their love. This date will forever hold an irreplaceable piece of their hearts and hold special memories for their friends and family too.

I first met Meliah and David three years ago. They were members of the Bridal Party for the first ever Wedding I Photographed. Not long after that Wedding, they booked me in to capture some Maternity Photos of their first baby, Carter. Fast forward three years and here I was photographing their very special day on my own Wedding Anniversary. (I’m totally happy sharing this date with you guys!)

Meliah stayed true to her own unique style and personality, wowing her guests (and Husband) wearing an incredible BLACK Wedding gown. It was such a fun and unique aspect to this Wedding which was fun to Photograph! Their laid back, friendly personalities made our job’s a breeze tagging along as their Wedding Day flew by.

Glengariff Historic Estate never disappoints with the endless views and photo opportunities, not to forget the incredible staff!

Congratulations Mr & Mrs Rickards!

Felicity & David - Parkwood International Wedding Photography

Felicity and David were one of our lucky Engagement Photoshoot winners last year. Having had a wonderful experience with us and loving their Engagement Photos they were quick to book us in for their Wedding Day.

This gorgeous couple were married at Parkwood International Golf Resort on the Gold Coast. The venue was stunning and the staff were incredible.  Felicity and David opted to do things a little differently having a “First Look” and no Bridal Party. This meant more time for photos of the Bride & Groom - YAY!

We can’t wait for them to receive their beautiful Wedding Album! What an absolute treasure it will be to show their future Children and Grandchildren.

MR & MRS CLARK - 12.04.19

“Brayden, I knew the moment I saw you over 6 years ago down at this beach that we would be standing here one day. You are all I have ever wanted in a Husband, you are my best friend, my other half and my whole world. You are the most beautiful human being I have ever met. You are kind, caring, forgiving and... you have to freshest, SEXIEST mullet I’ve ever seen. Your laugh is so infectious I can’t help but laugh with you. But most of all you make me the absolute happiest girl in the whole entire world, I cant help but wonder sometimes how i got so lucky to be able to face life’s highs and lows with you right by side.

From this day forward I promise to be patient, to be understanding and kind. I promise to laugh with you in times of happiness and comfort you in times of sadness. I promise to be the best version of myself for you, for me, for us and our future family. I promise to share in your dreams and support you as you strive to achieve your life goals - even if that includes listening to a new hardstyle song you’ve found and you insist I have to hear it before we go to bed. I promise to always smile when you enter the room, and cherish every moment we spend together. I promise to stay true to you, and stand by your side at all times no matter what challenges life throws at us. Brayden Neil Clark, I give you all that i have and all that I ever will be. For you are my best friend, my soul mate and you deserve nothing but the best. Most of all I promise to fall in love with you more and more every day as I have for the last 2,351 days we have been together.

I am yours for all of eternity.”

“Kayla, it’s been a long road to get here today, but it’s something I never doubted would happen.

From day dot we were “joined by the hip” as everyone would say… and that really hasn’t changed. Whether it’s moving iron at the gym, hakking to all hours of the morning.. or binge watching McLeod’s Daughters, we spend every moment possible together. This is something I promise we’ll always do, because there is never a boring moment with us.

I promise to always be by your side no matter what. These last few months have been a test for us, but it has showed me how strong we really are. I promise to try my hardest to keep our room clean, it’s always been a massive struggle but I’m willing to give it a go if it makes you happy.

This year will mark out 7th year together and that feels like a long time, but today is just the beginning of our amazing journey ahead. If the 6 years we’ve had together is any reflection on the years to come.. that’s a massive Ooft.”

Hayley & Kash - Mother and Son Photoshoot

Every year Hayley organises a fun and unique photoshoot with her little boy, Kash.

We didn’t really have a location plan this year, instead we met in the city and found a few unique spots that complimented their outfits.

This is my third year photographing this Mother/Son duo and I feel so honoured to create these memories for the both of them. This year Kash turns four, although he may look older with that handsome face of his, he is really just FOUR! I just can’t fathom how he gets cuter and cuter with each year that passes.

Hayley shed many happy tears at her viewing appointment when she saw these photos, I could just feel the love oozing from her soul.

I have no more words, I’ll let the photos do the talking.

Pete + Vanessa - Fiji Destination Wedding

Boy was I excited when Pete and Vanessa told me they were having a destination wedding in beautiful Fiji! What a perfect opportunity to take a little holiday with my family too.

Pete and Vanessa would have to be one of the most relaxed couples I have met. Their laid-back and warm personalities really complimented their choice of location for their very special day. Deciding to make their Wedding into a week of celebrations was one of the best choices they made! Their family and friends travelled from Australia, New Zealand and London to be with them as they made this commitment to one another.

Ironically, on the days leading up to the Wedding the weather consisted of mostly sunshine with the odd shower here and there. However, on the day we hoped most for Sunshine, instead we woke to heavy rainfall. This didn’t hinder the spirits of the Bride and Groom that the weather would come clear in time. All of those positive vibes must have paid off because the rain eased off just in time for the Ceremony, and returned just as the newlyweds came back down the aisle! Of course, everyone got a little wet but playful laughter filled the air and memories were made for all. The rain decided to hang around, but we were still able to capture some beautiful outdoor shots with the willingness of the Bride and Groom.

Pete and Vanessa’s reception was fun and relaxed, everyone was having a blast! They surprised their guests with traditional dancers and fire twirlers as entertainment which was a huge hit!

A few questions for the Bride and Groom…

Why did you choose a destination Wedding in Fiji?

We loved the thought of having our closest friends and family celebrate our Wedding with us not just for the one day, but all get away together and make a holiday of it for an entire week. The highlight of choosing to get married in Fiji was that we wanted a special place to create special memories for not just us, but for all our family and friends that got to be a part of it. Watching all our family and friends meet up around the resort and enjoying each other’s company made us feel so incredibly lucky and happy with our decision to do a destination Wedding.

Fiji is an amazing and beautiful place, and as we both love the beach and tropical getaways we thought Fiji would be the perfect place for our big day. We wanted something relaxed, simple and special for our Wedding –  Fiji offered this. We had the best time and would do it all over again in a heartbeat, and we look forward to returning in a couple of years’ time for a reunion!

How did you find organising a destination Wedding with Sofitel Fiji?

Sofitel Fiji handled everything from the flowers, dinner, cake, celebrant, styling, everything we needed. Their friendly service, food, venue and atmosphere at the resort was amazing and we highly recommend Sofitel if you are planning a Fiji Wedding. Sofitel had a dedicated Wedding Team who were full of knowledge and ideas and this was really helpful through-out the planning process. Our wedding planner was extremely helpful and sent us options for our wedding, and was able to accommodate all our special requests. It was very easy to organise from Australia and made the planning process really enjoyable.

Your feelings on the day?

Everything on the day came together perfectly. You go through so many different emotions on the day and not everything will go exactly as you may have planned but it’s still an amazing and special day. The morning of our wedding was filled with tropical showers and a last minute change of reception venue to ensure the rain would not be a worry on the night. The tropical weather cleared and our ceremony took place under the Sunset Bure on the Sofitel Beachfront. As soon as we had been pronounced Husband and Wife, and were walking hand in hand down the aisle, it really started to pour down! We thought this was remarkable timing and was the funniest thing. Looking back on our day, it was perfect and we would not change a thing.

Your experience working with Sunset Lane Photography?

Belinda’s work was nothing short of amazing! We have fallen in love with every photo, not only because they captured our special day, but because Belinda was able to capture all the special moments, the little details, and the emotion we felt on the day which we will cherish forever.

We had so much fun working with Belinda. Belinda is highly professional, but also made us feel relaxed and enjoy every moment of having our photos taken.

Belinda truly has an amazing talent for capturing the most beautiful moments and all the love and emotion that comes with it – we honestly couldn’t be more happier with her work.

We highly recommend using Sunset Lane Photography! Absolute credit to Belinda for an incredible job! Thank you so much :).

Emmie's Annual Photoshoot - Sunshine Coast Photography

What an absolute blessing it was to have met this beautiful soul.

Each and every year Kylie organises a photoshoot of her beautiful daughter Emmie to commemorate her birthday. Another incredible year of being blessed with an amazing daughter to love and cherish. Kylie is a Photographer herself, however Emmie often won’t cooperate as well as she’d like during photoshoot’s for her mum. What kid doesn’t, am I right?

During our initial phone consultation I could hear in Kylie’s voice her incredibly warm and welcoming nature and the absolute adoration of her daughter. During our conversation she told me how with each passing year she makes sure to organise a photoshoot of Emmie, and also that Emmie has Autism.

Never having photographed a child with Autism before I wasn’t sure what to expect. I decided to put that fact about Emmie aside and approach the session as I otherwise would. Even with her being tired and exhausted from a big week and a few other external factors making her uncomfortable at times, she did incredibly well! Looking at these photos, had I not mentioned the above… you wouldn’t even know that she has some struggles in her daily life.

Emmie and her parents are such incredible people and I feel absolutely honoured to have taken these memories for them. As Kylie teared up viewing her images this morning my heart melted to see just how much she loves her darling little Emmie.

NORTH BRISBANE FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHY

Belinda contacted me recently to organise updated family portraits. They hadn’t had professional photos taken in 6 years since the girls were just babies!

I am so glad they have chosen to invest in these memories, the images turned out absolutely amazing! Belinda and Dean were overwhelmed (in a good way of course) at their viewing appointment when they viewed their photographs. We custom designed a beautiful collection for their wall at home which is going to look absolutely AMAZING!

Welcome to the world, William.

All births are incredibly special, but this one is personal to me. This is the birth of my first Nephew, William Luke Wimpenny. Born at 10:15am on 10th November 2018.

Last Saturday morning I had the absolute honour of capturing the moments of Luke and Steff bringing a life into this world. After a long night of contractions the evening before, Steff arrived at the hospital completely dilated. When I arrived at the hospital, she lay on the bed with her eyes closed, quiet, hand in hand with Luke. She had such incredible strength, peace and contentment during her labour. She channeled her pain within, barely making a sound until the moment little William was born.

It was an incredible experience to watch her strength and determination throughout this birth. William is absolutely perfect and has already brought so much joy to his parents and those around him.

Thank you for allowing me to witness this incredible moment in your lives.
