Sharing a few highlights from Rhee & Michaels wedding at the gorgeous Henzell’s Chapel in Mount Pleasant.
This is such a beautiful, private countryside location which I just adore. We had perfect weather and a beautiful couple to top it off!

This Family - their cuteness I just can not take! I have Photographed Nakita & Aiden for the past few years, the kids grow so much every time I see them and it’s always a pleasure.
When Nakita reached out to me with her idea to do a “Trash the Dress” Photoshoot I was all for it! They had so much fun despite the kids trying to jump in the water with them. Hahaha… Parent Life.

Sharing some beautiful moments from Hannah & Rory’s stunning Wedding at Clear Mountain Mecure Lodge in November.
Congratulations to Natalie and Ryan who tied the knot at Victoria Park Golf Club last month!
They chose our vibrant style of editing for their wedding images and loved seeing them for the first time at their album appointment. We can’t wait for you to have your beautiful printed album full of these precious memories.
From the Bride and Groom…
Wiki and I, have so many family and friends it was a hard task alone excluding anyone from the guest list. We both have a lot of family abroad. We could only imagine what an extensive expense it would have cost for them to get here.
Our decision to Elope simply came down to doing it for ourselves. We wanted something easy, relaxed and low key. And that’s exactly what we got. The day couldn’t have been any more perfect and we couldn’t be happier!
Tips and advice:
Our only advice would be to do your research. Know what you want and find the right people to do it.
Above all, there’s no real right or wrong way to plan an Elopement/ Wedding. Just remember do it for yourselves. You just need to make sure both parties are happy. One thing Wiki and I learnt along the way, was compromise is one thing, but sacrifice speaks volumes. Giving up something you want rather than need, gave us both a greater sense of appreciation, value and respect for one another.
Thanks and special mentions:
We were fortunate enough to be surrounded by unbelievably talented and passionate people to make our day possible. From the lovely Bridal Bouquet and Headpiece by Natalie from Heavenly Blooms. The beautiful dress by Rue De Seine. The amazing backdrop of The Glass House Mountains at Maleny Retreat was absolutely breathtaking and Joy thank you so much for all of your help on the day. Makeup by Azmina thank you for making my face look snatched haha. Our lovely celebrant Deanne Taylor. Jaden at Sunshine Coast Videography we cannot wait for the Cinematic experience.
Last but not least. Belinda, we cannot thank you enough! The photos are absolutely breathtaking. It is everything and more than what we envisioned. Thank you for making our day so easy, and not feeling silly in front of a camera haha. You are amazingly talented. Thank you for capturing our “Happy ever after”.

Taneka and Brad held their Wedding on Private Property at Bellmere which belongs to Taneka’s Grandparents.
Their day perfectly reflected them as couple, it was very relaxed, full of love and laughter. (oh and some tears too!)
We had a few questions for the Bride…
What was your favourite moment of the day?
“My favourite moment would definitely be exchanging our own vows! Hearing what Brad had written himself definitely tugged on the heart strings because we never express our love for each other that way. So, to hear how he felt out loud in front of all our friends and family was really something special!”
What is your advice for future Bride’s planning their Wedding?
“Not to stress and not have too high an expectation. Enjoy every little second of the planning, setting up, the day itself and everything after because it’s gone before you know it! So enjoy absolutely every aspect of the whole experience.”
What are you tips for a stress-free Wedding Day?
“Just take it as it comes and embrace the whole day! If it doesn’t go to plan don’t stress about it. At the end of the day it won’t matter if people sat at the wrong table or the centrepieces weren’t positioned right, it’s all about celebrating and enjoying with everyone who means most to you.”
Your experience working with Sunset Lane Photography?
“You guys.... what else can I say except PERFECTION!! I wouldn’t of had it any other way! You guys were so much fun so down to earth and the end results were too perfect for words. You were definitely born to do what you do and wouldn’t recommend anyone but yourself for absolutely everyone!!!”
May 16th 2019, the day that Meliah and David celebrated their love. This date will forever hold an irreplaceable piece of their hearts and hold special memories for their friends and family too.
I first met Meliah and David three years ago. They were members of the Bridal Party for the first ever Wedding I Photographed. Not long after that Wedding, they booked me in to capture some Maternity Photos of their first baby, Carter. Fast forward three years and here I was photographing their very special day on my own Wedding Anniversary. (I’m totally happy sharing this date with you guys!)
Meliah stayed true to her own unique style and personality, wowing her guests (and Husband) wearing an incredible BLACK Wedding gown. It was such a fun and unique aspect to this Wedding which was fun to Photograph! Their laid back, friendly personalities made our job’s a breeze tagging along as their Wedding Day flew by.
Glengariff Historic Estate never disappoints with the endless views and photo opportunities, not to forget the incredible staff!
Congratulations Mr & Mrs Rickards!

Felicity and David were one of our lucky Engagement Photoshoot winners last year. Having had a wonderful experience with us and loving their Engagement Photos they were quick to book us in for their Wedding Day.
This gorgeous couple were married at Parkwood International Golf Resort on the Gold Coast. The venue was stunning and the staff were incredible. Felicity and David opted to do things a little differently having a “First Look” and no Bridal Party. This meant more time for photos of the Bride & Groom - YAY!
We can’t wait for them to receive their beautiful Wedding Album! What an absolute treasure it will be to show their future Children and Grandchildren.

“Brayden, I knew the moment I saw you over 6 years ago down at this beach that we would be standing here one day. You are all I have ever wanted in a Husband, you are my best friend, my other half and my whole world. You are the most beautiful human being I have ever met. You are kind, caring, forgiving and... you have to freshest, SEXIEST mullet I’ve ever seen. Your laugh is so infectious I can’t help but laugh with you. But most of all you make me the absolute happiest girl in the whole entire world, I cant help but wonder sometimes how i got so lucky to be able to face life’s highs and lows with you right by side.
From this day forward I promise to be patient, to be understanding and kind. I promise to laugh with you in times of happiness and comfort you in times of sadness. I promise to be the best version of myself for you, for me, for us and our future family. I promise to share in your dreams and support you as you strive to achieve your life goals - even if that includes listening to a new hardstyle song you’ve found and you insist I have to hear it before we go to bed. I promise to always smile when you enter the room, and cherish every moment we spend together. I promise to stay true to you, and stand by your side at all times no matter what challenges life throws at us. Brayden Neil Clark, I give you all that i have and all that I ever will be. For you are my best friend, my soul mate and you deserve nothing but the best. Most of all I promise to fall in love with you more and more every day as I have for the last 2,351 days we have been together.
I am yours for all of eternity.”
“Kayla, it’s been a long road to get here today, but it’s something I never doubted would happen.
From day dot we were “joined by the hip” as everyone would say… and that really hasn’t changed. Whether it’s moving iron at the gym, hakking to all hours of the morning.. or binge watching McLeod’s Daughters, we spend every moment possible together. This is something I promise we’ll always do, because there is never a boring moment with us.
I promise to always be by your side no matter what. These last few months have been a test for us, but it has showed me how strong we really are. I promise to try my hardest to keep our room clean, it’s always been a massive struggle but I’m willing to give it a go if it makes you happy.
This year will mark out 7th year together and that feels like a long time, but today is just the beginning of our amazing journey ahead. If the 6 years we’ve had together is any reflection on the years to come.. that’s a massive Ooft.”

Boy was I excited when Pete and Vanessa told me they were having a destination wedding in beautiful Fiji! What a perfect opportunity to take a little holiday with my family too.
Pete and Vanessa would have to be one of the most relaxed couples I have met. Their laid-back and warm personalities really complimented their choice of location for their very special day. Deciding to make their Wedding into a week of celebrations was one of the best choices they made! Their family and friends travelled from Australia, New Zealand and London to be with them as they made this commitment to one another.
Ironically, on the days leading up to the Wedding the weather consisted of mostly sunshine with the odd shower here and there. However, on the day we hoped most for Sunshine, instead we woke to heavy rainfall. This didn’t hinder the spirits of the Bride and Groom that the weather would come clear in time. All of those positive vibes must have paid off because the rain eased off just in time for the Ceremony, and returned just as the newlyweds came back down the aisle! Of course, everyone got a little wet but playful laughter filled the air and memories were made for all. The rain decided to hang around, but we were still able to capture some beautiful outdoor shots with the willingness of the Bride and Groom.
Pete and Vanessa’s reception was fun and relaxed, everyone was having a blast! They surprised their guests with traditional dancers and fire twirlers as entertainment which was a huge hit!
A few questions for the Bride and Groom…
Why did you choose a destination Wedding in Fiji?
We loved the thought of having our closest friends and family celebrate our Wedding with us not just for the one day, but all get away together and make a holiday of it for an entire week. The highlight of choosing to get married in Fiji was that we wanted a special place to create special memories for not just us, but for all our family and friends that got to be a part of it. Watching all our family and friends meet up around the resort and enjoying each other’s company made us feel so incredibly lucky and happy with our decision to do a destination Wedding.
Fiji is an amazing and beautiful place, and as we both love the beach and tropical getaways we thought Fiji would be the perfect place for our big day. We wanted something relaxed, simple and special for our Wedding – Fiji offered this. We had the best time and would do it all over again in a heartbeat, and we look forward to returning in a couple of years’ time for a reunion!
How did you find organising a destination Wedding with Sofitel Fiji?
Sofitel Fiji handled everything from the flowers, dinner, cake, celebrant, styling, everything we needed. Their friendly service, food, venue and atmosphere at the resort was amazing and we highly recommend Sofitel if you are planning a Fiji Wedding. Sofitel had a dedicated Wedding Team who were full of knowledge and ideas and this was really helpful through-out the planning process. Our wedding planner was extremely helpful and sent us options for our wedding, and was able to accommodate all our special requests. It was very easy to organise from Australia and made the planning process really enjoyable.
Your feelings on the day?
Everything on the day came together perfectly. You go through so many different emotions on the day and not everything will go exactly as you may have planned but it’s still an amazing and special day. The morning of our wedding was filled with tropical showers and a last minute change of reception venue to ensure the rain would not be a worry on the night. The tropical weather cleared and our ceremony took place under the Sunset Bure on the Sofitel Beachfront. As soon as we had been pronounced Husband and Wife, and were walking hand in hand down the aisle, it really started to pour down! We thought this was remarkable timing and was the funniest thing. Looking back on our day, it was perfect and we would not change a thing.
Your experience working with Sunset Lane Photography?
Belinda’s work was nothing short of amazing! We have fallen in love with every photo, not only because they captured our special day, but because Belinda was able to capture all the special moments, the little details, and the emotion we felt on the day which we will cherish forever.
We had so much fun working with Belinda. Belinda is highly professional, but also made us feel relaxed and enjoy every moment of having our photos taken.
Belinda truly has an amazing talent for capturing the most beautiful moments and all the love and emotion that comes with it – we honestly couldn’t be more happier with her work.
We highly recommend using Sunset Lane Photography! Absolute credit to Belinda for an incredible job! Thank you so much :).

“I went to London and travelled around until I realised that my whole life I was wandering around everywhere, just looking for you.”
Alyce and Shane met while travelling through Europe. Each leaving their home countries ( Alyce – Australia and Shane – Ireland) and venturing individually on their journey in a new place. Looking for company in a place far from home, it was that important swipe right, not left that lead them to where they are today. Neither were looking for a romantic relationship or anything serious… well that soon changed!
When it came time for Shane’s proposal, he kept it simple and sweet… keeping in mind Alyce’s dislike of “soppy romantic things”. He asked her the big question while sitting on the floor watching Alyce play with her fur-baby.
They have overcome some challenging hurdles together such as travelling together, cultural differences, different upbringing’s, living in London and Shane leaving his family in Ireland to move to Australia.
Well, it was clearly all worth it! Love strikes when you least expect it and it brings with it so much added joy to your life.
Some of Shane’s family travelled all the way from Ireland to be there for his big day. It was so incredibly heart-warming to see how much is loved and missed by his family back in Ireland. Many tears were shed throughout their wedding day (some from us too) and it is our absolute privilege to have been there witnessing their day unfold.
Shane and Alyce’s wedding album is currently being handcrafted and we can not wait for them to have this precious heirloom to pass down through generations!

On Saturday 15th September 2018, we had the absolute pleasure of capturing Tiahna and Matt’s wedding day as it unfolded.
Their wedding was held at the gorgeous Noosa Springs Resort. Not only did this venue LOOK amazing, but the hospitality of the staff was second to none. We were in awe of just how hard working and accomodating the staff were to not only guests but ourselves and other vendors. This is the type of service all Brides and Grooms deserve on their Wedding Day!
Tiahna and Matt are one of the kindest, happiest couples we have met. They have such a warm and welcoming nature about them and we just know they are in for a lifetime of happiness as long as they are together.
Their wedding album is currently being hand-crafted and we can not wait for it to take pride in their home!

We had the pleasure of photographing Alexandria and James' beautiful wedding at High Church - Brisbane.
This couple were oh so sweet and it was clear to us just how much they adore each other, making our job very easy! What a fantastic day they had surrounded by those they love and cherish dearly.
Here is just a small snippet of the many beautiful photos from their special day.
Brittany and Johnathon tied the knot at Preston Peak this week. Every little detail was absolutely beautiful and we feel so honoured they chose us to capture this special day!
Here is just a small portion of the beautiful photos from their Wedding Day.
Overall, how would you describe your Wedding Day?
A perfect ending to two years of hard work and planning - there’s not a lot I would change!
What was your favourite moment from the day?
Johnathon - the first look, definitely do one if you can, and the fireworks! The ceremony was perfect too.
Britt - when we went for photos with just us, and the moments after that before we walked into the reception where it was just us.
Why did you choose this particular venue?
It was local so all our loved ones could attend, and the view is just breathtaking. The staff are pretty fantastic too so we knew we’d be in good hands!
Your tips for future Brides & Grooms?
Meet with your vendors, make sure you are comfortable with them because it will make all the difference on the day.
Be there. In the moment. Ignore everything else.
You can plan every little thing, but something will still go wrong on the day. Pick your battles - as long as there’s you and your partner, a celebrant, and the people you love, you’ve nailed it so enjoy your hard work!
Oh and definitely, definitely find ten minutes for just you and your partner. The day goes so fast and it’s nice to just have a moment to take in what you just did!
How was your experience working with Sweet Harmony Photography?
Incredible. They were on top of everything. They rolled with the punches, and listened to what I wanted. They let my partner and I be ourselves and just captured it, which is exactly what you want - authentic moments from your day!

Amber and Daniel tied the knot last week at the beautiful Glengariff Historic Estate. We never tire of Photographing here, the scenery is just amazing!
They had a lovely intimate ceremony with their nearest and dearest surrounded by the endless country views Glengariff has to offer. There is just something extra special about small weddings. As Amber stood at the end of the Aisle waiting to make her entrance, we're sure she appreciated that everyone standing in front of her were not only familiar faces, but faces of those she loves and admires.
Amber and Daniel made their wedding day their own and it was our pleasure to be a part of. We wish them all the best as they venture on to their next chapter as newly-weds!

Edna and Jethro's wedding at Redland Bay Golf Club was incredibly beautiful. They were surrounded with so much love from their family and friends it immediately radiated on to us. It's clear they will have a strong support network for the rest of their lives as Husband and Wife.
I had the pleasure of spending a few hours with Edna and the girls as they prepared for this big occasion. Edna was one organised Bride, so it made things very easy going throughout the whole day.
Whilst I was chilling with the girls, second shooter Amanda had some true Kiwi time with the boys! All of Jethro's groomsmen had flown from New Zealand to be by his side (along with many other family members).
The ceremony went beautifully with Edna holding the gaze of everyone looking absolutely breathtaking, Jethro sure is one lucky man! The surroundings of Redland Bay Golf Club and Bay area made a beautiful backdrop for their post-ceremony photos.
Miss Weddings did an incredible job transforming Edna & Jethro's reception into an elegant, captivating space to celebrate their wedding day. Wedding Reception's always bring some of my favourite moments from the day, and theirs was no different. A highlight being when Jethro & the Groomsmen performed a Hakka Ceremony. The boys performed at 200% and it sure sent chills down my spine.
All in all - what an amazing wedding day, congratulations again Mr & Mrs Jacobs!
